The Puck Has Dropped

Three forwards and two defensemen (and women) faced off with a poetry contest to celebrate the Amazon release of Bad Ice: Bernard, Michelle, Precie, Kerri and Wordtryst.

My trusty assistant Cujo picked the winner from my Maple Leafs beer cozy because the linesman tripped over the blue line. And the winner is...

...Kerri!

See? You visited a new writer site and won something! It's that easy. Please email me through my profile with your physical address and I'll send you an autographed copy of Bad Ice. I hope you enjoy it.

I think I'll print off these cool poems and frame them for my writing room (when I get one). Thank you everyone for participating. It was a lovely diversion.

Oh my gosh! Thank you Sandra and Cujo! I was just about to shut down for the night and saw your post come through! I've got to save a copy of the Cujo picks winner photo. LOL

Thank you. This just made my day. Even though I'm from the sunny deep south, I became a hockey fan just a few years ago when a minor CHL team formed not too far from here. I've become a real "less bore more gore" type of hockey fan. ;-)

I'm so looking forward to your book. I'll be in touch with my information for you.

Glad we could be a distraction for you and hopefully entertaining. I was sorry to hear about your family's recent loss and I said a prayer for you.

Hope your weekend and the upcoming holiday season is still wonderful for you all.

Mind if I stop by your blog to comment now and again?

My best,
Kerri

Boo hoo. I'll go buy the book, then. Can't believe I actually wrote a 'poem'. The things we do...

Congratulations, kerribookwriter!

Hey, Kerri! It's always a good thing to keep the love of the game alive south of the 49th Parallel.

Less bore, more gore.... Ha! I loves me hockey fights too, I admit it.

Liane, you buy my book and I'll buy yours! I haven't seen it yet on Canadian shelves but I'll take a closer look. If I don't see it, I'll certainly order it.

Leafs are losing tonight 4-0. Booooo!

Congrats to Kerri! Had lots of fun trying. I hope my previous post does not appear and you have 2 story books to read. Just wanted to make a comment on a previous post were you said your next master piece would be a hot steamy romance novel.Just incase you need a little true CLEAN, NON TRASHY, honest to goodness story. Ha Ha.
Truly my friends always say they live through me vicaruosly. Not sure if its just my fate or my blue print is full of twists and turns.
I know i am a complete stranger and I was drawn to your blog by the trajedy of Brandon. My prayers to you and your family. May time and each other give you strength at such a difficult time.

Thanks for the notes on my blog. Yes, the air is still filled with stench, and the fires are still going.

I will start by expressing my sorrow at your bereavement.
I only started reading you a couple of weeks ago; I probably followed a link from Wordtryst or BookEnds.
I am a Canadian who has lived in the UK for 33 years, and I have just ordered your books.

Sandra Cormier said...

Hooray, Pierre! I hope you don't have to wait too long for them, and that you enjoy them.

I just ordered Liane's book today!

Kanani said...

Hey... I'm giving your book a shout out on Monday! Hope you're well!!

Sandra Cormier said...

Super, Kanani! I can use all the help I can get.

Hi Sandra its Michelle. Wonder if you could give me a tip on where to puchase your novel. No crack comments.lol i know the book store..ha

Is there a paticular Book Store I should go to?
ps. prefer not to order online.
Thanks
Michelle

Great, Michelle! I'm glad you want to order the book.

I suggest you visit a bookstore and ask them to special order it for you. Champagne Books is a small POD press and bookstores don't generally stock the books on their shelves unless we jump through a lot of hoops. I'm working on my local Chapters store to carry a few copies.

If that doesn't work, and you want to pay by cheque, I can send you a copy by mail and even autograph it!

Well since I am a sentimental fool and truly value someones hard work and dedication. I would luv a signed copy!!!! Thanks so much for the offer.

just let me know whats the next step..smile!

After reading your bio, i realized we are neighbors or a stones throw away....

Cool! Fire me an email through my profile and we can make arrangements, either by mail or over coffee!

Of course, that all depends on how far you can throw a stone! Aurora's a stone's throw, but Orangeville is more of a hike.
