Thank You

I am overcome by the generous outpouring of sympathy from you, my old and new friends. The last few weeks have been both surreal and all too real.

The authorities believe Brandon climbed a tree for the night because wolves and coyotes are prevalent in the area. He may have fallen asleep or simply fell. Chest injuries from the fall seemed to have caused his death. It was probably the first night he went missing.

The funeral is set for next Friday.

Sigh.

In other news, Bad Ice is now on Amazon. Just thought I'd let you know.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I'm glad you're finally getting some answers that make sense. It doesn't change the outcome, but it helps change the focus from endlessly wondering to finding ways to cope.

Blessings to you and your family. Let your blog family know if there's anything we can do to help.

I'm so sorry, Chumplet. No greater tragedy could befall a family. Brandon is being grieved all over the world.

I echo Stephen's comments: many, many people have all of you in their hearts at this most difficult time.

I come via Liane's blog just to say how sorry I am. Words are inadequate.

Sandra...

I am so, so sorry. I don't know how to deal with such heartbreak other than to send good thoughts and prayers.

Many people are thinking of you.

I'll be fine, eventually. I have the bizarre advantage of being able to sort out my feelings through writing.

But I really feel for my sister and brother in law. It'll be a long time before things resemble normal.

Thanks again from the bottom of my heart.

Just heard about it on mlh (Michelle's) blog.

So very sorry. Hope there is some consolation in that he did not meet with foul play - was not kidnapped by some sicko.

I feel the same way, Josie. I just hope he didn't feel much pain.

Such sad news! I hadn't checked my blog friends in too long, obviously, and I find that news here. I hope your family is doing okay in this tough time.

Hi Sandra, it's been a while since I've been able to look beyond the walls of my own cloistered office. I'm so sorry for your family's loss. I hope the holidays bring a bit of joy, even if only in remembrance.
